What is baby tooth extraction?
Baby teeth are treated so that they remain in the mouth until the permanent teeth erupt; however, in some cases baby teeth stubbornly do not fall out, and the baby tooth may have to be extracted so that the tooth coming from underneath can erupt properly.
Does baby tooth extraction hurt?
In baby tooth extraction, just as in the extraction of permanent teeth, local anaesthesia is applied and the area where the baby tooth will be extracted is numbed, so that the patient feels as little pain as possible. So that children do not feel pain during the local anaesthesia procedure either, surface anaesthesia is first sprayed onto the area where the anaesthetic will be applied. In this way, the discomfort our children feel is kept to a minimum.
